2 Days 1 Night Trekking Tour to Mount Rinjani via the Sembalun route

Mount Rinjani

This trek is designed for those who want to reach the summit of Mount Rinjani but have limited time and don’t want to descend to Lake Segara Anak. This challenging trek is best suited for people with a good level of fitness.

Itinerary for the tour is available.

– Day 0 (Arrival):

You will be picked up from your location around Lombok and taken to Senaru Village, where you will check in. You will meet your trekking guide for a briefing and can relax or visit Sendang Gile Waterfall if time permits.

– Day 1:

You will be transferred to the slopes of the Sembalun Crater. After breakfast, check in at the Mount Rinjani National Park office. The journey begins with a gentle climb through grasslands, reaching Post 1 (Observation) after approximately 2 hours. You will continue your journey to Post 2. Climbers will rest for about an hour here for lunch. After lunch, climbers continue their journey to Post 3. From Post 3, climbers will be greeted by a fairly high bouquet, or what the locals call 7 hills. Before the climbers arrive at the campsite, climbers will rest at Post 4 to drink water or have a snack (and after resting, climbers will continue their journey to Pelawangan Sembalun, or an overnight campsite on the crater rim, enjoying the sunset, Lake Segara Anak, and Sembalun village.

– Day 2:

Wake up around 2:00-3:00 a.m. for a light breakfast before starting the journey to the summit (3,726 m). Climbers will be greeted by sandy roads or hills during the journey to the pubak. Climbers will be accompanied by their guides, with the final section being steep and challenging with rocks and moving sand. As the locals call it, “2 steps forward, 1 step back, and then let go.” From the summit, you can see the surrounding areas of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and Lake Segara Anak. After sunrise, you’ll descend to Pelawangan Sembalun for breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll rest for about 30 minutes, then continue your descent to Sembalun village. You’ll be transferred to Senaru to collect your luggage and then to your next destination (Gili Airport, Senggigi, Mataram, or Lombok).
